The Rata Wedding

I have known these two for a long time now. But not really know them... if you get my drift? Thanks to the wonderful world of Social Media I feel as though I know exactly what this busy family is up to over in Sydney!

So when Jenna contacted me asking if I would capture their big day, I was honoured to be able to see first hand what a tenacious and outgoing family they really are. The day was full to the brim with family and love - exactly the way it should be.

Having met and been in love a very very long time ago, Waru and Jenna's paths went separate ways. Perhaps both having lessons that required their attention before they could reunite and make a life together.

Now stronger than ever, this dynamic duo and their tribe of super-achieving kids live their dream lifestyle in Sydney but returned to their roots to celebrate this big family love.

The day saw the union of two large Te Kuiti families who came together to celebrate each other. The speeches were an absolute testament to the man Waru has become and the amazing woman he chose to spend the rest of his life with.

We decided on a whim during our photos that we would head to the grounds of Te Kuiti High School. All but one of the nine in the bridal party went to school there (her parents went there... does that count?), which brought back so many hilarious memories for everyone.

I wish you both nothing but happiness and health.

Thanks again for having me and I hope you enjoy revisiting your day here x

Thank you for capturing exactly who we are and giving us beautiful memories like you have. You were also such a great help with hair and nerves as well. You are simply amazing.
