Hawkes Bay is home: Diana + Blake

This love story started a long time ago. But Cyclone Debbie. She changed everything. The one that absolutely obliterated the life this young family knew in Queensland last year - shes the reason these amazing people got to honour their love a few months ago.

Out of disaster comes opportunity. Out of disaster comes strength. And of this disaster came a huge amount of love. So we celebrated! I like to say we because I always get so invested and apart from weddings.

One heck of a Hawkes Bay day and plenty of laughter made for a stunning wedding. And being my first ever Hawkes Bay wedding made it pretty special for me too.

Side note: I highly recommend having your children run wild during your ceremony. It makes for such good fun.

Second side note: I wrote this piece one year from the day of Cyclone Debbie. Creepy.
